An Oregon elopement photographer

-for the couples who want more experience, less performance

Miranda Corwin, a Oregon adventure elopement photographer

you bring the love, i'll bring the vision

Hi, I'm Miranda

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and now calling the high desert home, I’m based in Bend, Oregon with a deep love for adventure, golden light, and raw, unscripted moments.

I have traveled to 16 countries ( & counting), hiked more trails than I can count, and have been known as the "yes girl" in my friend group, down for just about any adventure. That also usually means I am the one planning it too.
So whether it's a jeep ride to a cliffside elopement or a dance floor made out of dirt, the possibilities are endless.

years photographing humans

My adventure buddies

After a seven-year career with the Forest Service, I made the leap from Forest Ranger to full-time photographer after being laid off during COVID — while pregnant with my daughter. It was an unexpected turning point that pushed me to follow my heart and build a business around what I’ve always loved most: capturing real people in beautiful places.

Life is even sweeter now with my husband of nine years, Mat, our six-year-old daughter, Remi, and our dog, Palmer, by my side. When we’re not fixing up our house, you’ll find us exploring every chance we get — road-tripping to the Oregon Coast, hiking to waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, or soaking in hidden hot springs with epic views.

Finding new places with jaw-dropping backdrops is second nature to me. It’s how I uncover so many of the tucked-away nooks and crannies of the Pacific Northwest — and how I help my couples find locations that feel wild, intentional, and truly one of a kind.

family is everything

My family is my everything. I’ve been with my husband, Mat, since I was 20 and we’ve been happily married for eight years. We’ve traveled across three continents together and now call Central Oregon home, where we’ve built a little micro-farm life with our five-year-old daughter, Remi, our mixed husky/rottweiler/shepherd pup Palmer, two bunnies, and five chickens. A little less traveling these days — but a life I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Five years ago, we bought an A-frame that could generously be described as a real fixer-upper. With a lot of patience, a little chaos, and the help of YouTube University, we’ve been slowly turning it into something magical. Progress over perfection is kind of our thing.

my second love

My second love (right after family and photography) is snowboarding. Winter means most house projects are on pause while you’ll find us up in the Cascades or at Mt. Bachelor chasing fresh powder. Teaching Remi how to snowboard has been one of the most challenging — and rewarding — parts of parenthood, and I can’t wait for the day she’s passing me on the hill.

ex-forest service gal

I studied Natural Resources and spent seven years working for the Forest Service, where I learned how to navigate with real maps and a compass, plan complex logistics, and get myself out of sticky situations — like changing a flat tire deep in the woods with zero cell service. Most importantly, it taught me a deep respect for Mother Nature and a belief that wild places should be protected, preserved, and accessible for future generations.

craft beer

I love a good craft beer. With Central Oregon being home to a lot of breweries, it’s not uncommon to find Mat and me at a local spot after a day on the mountain or on a laid-back weekend with friends. Seasonal brews are my weakness — especially Rippin’, my all-time favorite. Whenever we travel somewhere knew we tend to always migrate to the best breweries by the end of the day.

"Miranda was absolutely wonderful to work with. My husband and I are a bit awkward in front of the camera and her direction and artistic eye created some incredible photos and beautiful moments. I literally cried in a public place when I got our album. I highly recommend her for any occasion!!"
